Together, This is What We Do

There is something special at the Heart Institute that doesn’t exist in other places a passion that we are using to build a great future. Together, hand in hand with the Heart Institute Foundation donors, event sponsors and participants we have achieved a cardiac care centre that is both world-class and world-renowned, a place in Ottawa that shines beyond our borders.

The new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower opened in April 2018, bringing the next frontier of cardiac care excellence to Ottawa. Renovations to the original building on Ruskin Street are complete, patients are welcomed at a brand new Central Registration area, and our diagnostic equipment is together in one place in the newly renovated Cardiac Imaging Centre.

Looking forward, we will be at the forefront of assessing trends and preparing to provide the best in patient care and treatment. Valve disease, cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure will all increase exponentially within the next 30 years. Together we will find solutions. Thank you for being with us on this journey.
