Our Campaign

The new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower opened in April 2018, bringing the next frontier of cardiac care excellence to Ottawa. Renovations to the original building on Ruskin Street are well underway and when complete, patients will be welcomed at a brand new Central Registration area, and our diagnostic equipment will be together in one place in the newly renovated Cardiac Imaging Centre.

Healthcare institutions like the Heart Institute do not receive funding for the purchase of critical and highly specialized equipment. Support like yours and other funds raised through this year’s Capital Oktoberfest will help the Heart Institute purchase and modernize these much needed resources, and support patient-focused care, research and innovations, and prevention and education programs right here in our community.
