Hearts in Motion
As some of you are aware my brother Rick had a pacemaker put in a few years ago and is as good as new now.
He has teamed up with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in a fund raising activity that will both raise valuable funds for the UOHI and get people active.
I have joined his team and hope you will me in this challenge as we inspire people to get active from June 1st to 30th (and hopefully stay active).
It’s called Hearts in Motion Virtual 5k
The official Challenge:
What is a virtual 5k? It’s a 5k that can be completed at any location, from exotic to hometown. You can walk, run or cycle the 5 km distance at the location of your choice. You can do a little at a time or complete the 5 km all at once.
Once you have completed the 5 km, send us a photo (firstname.lastname@example.org) or share it with the hashtag #heart5k or @heartfdn. You will receive a medal and recognition for your efforts. Medals will be mailed to you in July. There are also great prizes to be won for your fundraising efforts.
Participate in 30min of physical activity for 30 days from June 1st to 30th with the big workout day on June 14th,
